Understanding Trade Secrets
Welcome, Hi. Well, before we get started, what I'm about to tell you is confidential, so I'd like you to sign this non-disclosure agreement. Okay, I'm just kidding. But, in fact, I'm going to teach you about trade secret law. Trade secret law is a body of law that applies to those pesky confidentiality agreements that you're always being asked to sign. I'll tell you what that's really all about and more. I'm Dana Robinson. I'm an intellectual property attorney. I've probably seen a couple hundred confidentiality agreements in my 15 years of practice, and I've been through my share of legal disputes around trade secrets.
In this course, I'll take you through the basics of trade secrets, including how trade secrets related to patent rights, and how to work through the important parts of a confidentiality agreement. I'll talk about enforcing trade secrets, as well as protecting confidential information. Let's get started.
