Integrating data and ERP solutions will be game-changers in RMG

As the world is moving too fast towards online based activities. Once labor-intensive manual garment and textile industry is no difference in quickly adopting online base based solutions. Adding fuel to the fire, the COVID-19 pandemic scenario has made it more eminent in the entire textile value chain. And Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions is automating the process of keeping the apparel manufacturing line supplied with materials to meet incoming orders.

Not to mention, the use of ERP in the readymade garment (RMG) market is showing positive signs of growth. And it is projected that the market will rise significantly in the forecasted period i.e. 2019 to 2026.

ERP plays a critical role in garment manufacturing countries by providing a solution that addresses the enterprise needs captivating the process view of the organization, to meet the organizational goals strongly integrating all functions of an enterprise through gathering and analyzing data.

Apparel manufacturers are viewing these solutions as game-changers if these are used with their full potential. Some apparel units in Bangladesh are using an ERP solution.

Being able to gather and organize data in real-time across the organization – from fiber to shipment – can offer better efficiency and visibility to make well-informed decisions," said Fakir Rafsanuzzaman, Director, Fakir Apparels Ltd.

He added, to be able to analyze data in any dimension is a key that could help businesses to become more customer-centric, remain profitable and position themselves better in times of uncertainty.
