Promotion of trade and business relationship amongst the members and also with other business enterprises in Bangladesh and abroad is a priority issue for IBFB. To promote trade and commerce, IBFB maintains a large database of companies and firms; gathers and shares information on trades and businesses of different sectors; acts as a matchmaker among the members and other companies in country and abroad; and organizes different promotional events around the country.
In order to explore new business opportunities and enhance bilateral trade relationships among Bangladeshi entrepreneurs and their foreign counterparts, IBFB regularly organizes Business Delegations to different countries. During such business tours, the Forum also gives emphasis on exploring avenues for joint venture investment and attracting Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) in Bangladesh. In the past, delegations from IBFB visited countries like Bhutan, India, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Korea, USA etc.
