One of the best thing about client servicing or being a client side associate is you need certain qualities which will not be judged based on your marks. There are certain things that should be there in you and bingo! you can be a good client side associate.
Written and Verbal Communication
The most important quality that is needed to be a good client service associate is to good written and verbal communication skill. This job requires this quality big time as you need to be the bridge between the client and the agency. So if you lack communication the entire system might get affected.
Empathy
Though communication is important but it will never work without the interpersonal skill development. Being a client service associate one must learn to empathise. Every client is different and so are their choices. You have to understand and balance between the agency and client. You will have to start thinking like them by walking in their shoes. To brush up the empathy skill, you can actually spend time with people who are from different background than you and try to understand their thought process.
Work Ethic
Being a client service associate you can actually prove your need in the company by showing them your work ethic. Try and impress your client by showing them that he/she is only the most important thing and you are putting your heart and soul to his job. Show that you are working way too much more than what you are assigned to and getting the work done without any flaw.
Initiative
This is also one of the most important qualities that you can have being a client side associate. You taking initiatives for something is what client will be happy about. It gives clients a sense of satisfaction that his work is with safe hands and going to be taken care well. Give some ideas, take responsibilities for some works, and ensure the clients that it is your work only – these things help you to succeed in your life.
Patience
All these other qualities would seem useless if you do not have patience. It is the key quality of success. You will always have to keep in mind that not everyone is smart and clients will have some or the other demand which is baseless, you are the person who has to listen to them patiently and come up with something that will serve the purpose.
