The Most Popular United States College Majors
A study was conducted at the National Centre for Education. Amazing findings and discoveries were made with respect to the most popular study areas.


Undergraduate Majors
A total of 1,650,014 students from Universities and colleges earned a degree in the 2009/10 academic session. That translates to 33% more than the graduating class in the previous 10 years with more than half the graduates being females, forming 57.2%.

Top 10 Degrees Earned
1. Business Management, Marketing and Personal Culinary Service – 22%
2. Social Studies, Social Science and History – 10%
3. Health Care and Health – 8%
4. Education – 6%
5. Psychology – 6%
6. Visual Arts and Performing Arts – 6%
7. Engineering and Engineering Technology – 5%
8. Biology and Biometric Science – 5%
9. Communications – 5%
10. English – less than 4%

What Women Study Most
For ladies, the most common major is Human Science / Family and Consumer Science. Females' accounts for 88% of the graduates in this area while males forms 12%.
