ULAB hosts day-long Career Fair

University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) has held a day-long job fair with the aim to bring together employers, experienced professionals, and entry level talented individuals under one roof.
The ULAB Career Fair 2017 was hosted by ULAB Career Services Office (CSO) at the university's Campus A in Dhanmondi, Dhaka on Saturday.
Rupali Chowdhury, executive director of Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited, was the chief guest at the fair. Md Musharrof Hossain, president of both Bangladesh Society for Human Resources Management and Asia Pacific Federation of Human Resources Management, was the special guest.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Rupali said that students, along with maintaining good CGPA, should learn as much as they can from all the branches of knowledge to ensure a great job. She emphasised learning about the always evolving technology.
Musharrof urged the graduates to concentrate more on the career and less on the job.
ULAB Vice-Chancellor HM Jahirul Haque made the introductory speech at the opening ceremony while Prof Imran Rahman, special advisor to the ULAB Board of Trustees gave the concluding speech.
ULAB Registrar Prof Akhtar Ahmed, CSO Director Abu Hena Md Rasel, representatives of the organisations that participated, and teachers and staff of the university were present at the programme along with the students and job seekers.
About 30 local and multinational organisations from various sectors, including financial, banking, telecom, ICT and technology, government and non-government, readymade garments and mass media, participated in the fair.
Graduates from all universities from across the country took part in the event.
