Since our beginning, The New York Institute of Photography has been forging partnerships with manufacturers, retailers and service-providers that serve photographers of all kinds. From camera manufacturers to software developers, we look for companies interested in helping photographers and students improve.

Adorama has long time been one of our partners in this effort, providing NYIP students with a private shopping portal, accessible through the LMS, in which they can purchase tons of gear at a significant discount.

We're excited to announce that we've collaborated with Adorama once more to launch an NYIP student-exclusive photo competition! The theme of the contest is weather, so from awesome lightning storms to serene sunsets, we want to see the best snapshots of the elements around you.

The first place winner will receive a Nikon Bundle Pack complete with a D3300 camera, an 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR II Lens, a 16 GB CLass 10 SDHC Card, and a LowePro Camera Case. Second place will receive a Think Tank Retrospective 30-GR shoulder bag, and third place will receive a Delkin Devices 128GB memory card.

Open to all current students and graduates, the contest will take place inside the student forum and will last until August 23rd. Good luck!
