How diversity is important to organizations

The face of the workforce is changing. Millenials currently represent 25% of the population of the United States, and they already outnumber Baby Boomers in the workforce. That means without you doing anything at all, the demographics of your organization should also be changing. If it isn't that is one great benefit of addressing the lack of diversity and implementing a diversity recruitment strategy. If your numbers aren't organically shifting this process will help you re-align. Diversity recruitment doesn't start with the recruitment process.

It begins with identifying and understanding that there's a lack of diversity within your organization in the first place. A desire to get with the times and to innovate as well as a need to do what's right is important. But actually believing that diversity leads to more productivity, creative problem solving, better decision making and an enhanced customer experience is vital to the success of this initiative. Buy in is key. So it's up to management team within your organization.
