Why Eid is the greatest festival of human civilization?  By -Firoz Mahboob Kamal

The festival is given by Allah

Different festivals have been going on for hundreds of years among people of different religions and nations in different countries of the world. But is there any doubt that Eid is unique and superior to all those festivals? Is there the slightest doubt about the wisdom, prudence and benevolence of the great God? In every creation of Allah, His infinite might is known. Because Eid is the greatest festival, it is not a man-made festival. It comes from the great God. This is the only reason to be the greatest festival of human civilization. That is the most beautiful provision of Eid, it is bound to catch the eye of any conscientious and healthy person. That is the subject of this article. But only those who have disbelief in the existence of God, His wisdom and His infinite creative power can have disbelief in it. The problem here is their sick conscience,

The life of a believer is guided by the Siratul Mostaqim by the guidance of the Almighty. There is a lot of sacrifice and sacrifice in the life of a Muslim in this way, as well as happiness. There is also a festival with sorrow. However, there is no fascination in that festival, there is holiness. Eid in the Muslim world therefore brings home a holy festival or happiness. There are only two such happy days in the whole year. One is Eid-ul-Fitr, and the other is Eid-ul-Azha. On these two happy days, every Muslim country is dressed in a new way. But why this happy or festive? Happiness or celebration comes after a huge victory or something big. But is it a victory or achievement for which Muslims will celebrate Eid from house to house? Festivals of other religions or other nations What is the difference between this festival of Islam? What is the superiority of Eid? Why are the two days unique in human culture? Islam is a religion of peace and welfare, but what is peace and welfare in this festival? Christian, Buddhists and Sikhs have made the birth or death of their preachers a day of celebration, but Islam has not. The days and occasions of other people's festivals are their fabrications, but the festivals and their days of Eid have been determined by Allah Almighty. Just as he gave the Holy Qur'an and the rules of prayer, fasting, Hajj and Zakat, so he also gave this festival. Could there be any flaw in the planning and celebration of the festival that comes from the Almighty?

As the background of these two Muslim festivals is different, so is its goal. Neither of these two festivals is intended to celebrate the birthday of a famous person, nor to glorify any of the most beautiful days of the year. Both festivals are based on how successful or victorious His servant was as a loyal servant of God Almighty. In this way, the most successful and victorious person in the history of the human race is Hazrat Ibrahim (AS). He showed amazing wisdom not in any scientific discovery, but in the discovery of the great truth. And he has shown success in his uncompromising pursuit of truth. He has found the great God. Is there a bigger and more important discovery in the history of the human race? No one will go to hell for failing in scientific discovery, no one will go to hell for failing to discover the truth. What about steadfast faith in God, what about worship, what about migration, What about sacrifice? In every command of Allah he says labbayek with devotion. In the Holy Qur'an, the Almighty has repeatedly boasted of his devotion. By the command of Allah, he left his birth place and traveled to different countries. He did not care about his own and his family's interests even when he was instructed to leave his wife Hajera and infant son Ismail in the bosom of empty Mecca. Rather, he emphasized the will of God Almighty. As a result, in response to the command of Allah, he said, "Quick." The Lord also stabbed his son Ishmael in the neck to make him happy. This is the greatest victory in the history of the human race against one's own whims and desires. God was so pleased with his victory that he turned it into a celebration of mankind. And that is until the Day of Resurrection. What does it mean to be a Muslim? Does it mean that I am present or ready? To say Religion. This is the main teaching of Ibrahim in the religion. He also gave the name Muslim. The main achievement of Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) is that he has conquered faith in Allah against whims and desires. Who expressed his unwavering faith in this way? Surely my prayer, my sacrifice, my life and my death are all for Allah.? The Almighty loved His radiant utterance so much that He made the words of the Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) to be taught to mankind till the Day of Resurrection. What could be a greater victory in human history? This victory is not a military victory, nor a victory of physical strength or skill, but of faith over disbelief. Hazrat Ibrahim is the father of the Muslim Ummah. On the day of Eid-ul-Azha, the Muslims of the world not only celebrate the victory of the Father, but also show solidarity with his ideals. What could be more sacred than this festival? On the contrary, it shows solidarity with his ideology. What could be more sacred than this festival?

The festival is about the victory of faith

On the other hand, Eid-ul-Fitr appeared in another context of victory. It is a month of self-control, self-purification, and surrender to God. The festival comes at the end of the month-long training during the month of Ramadan. Many things are halal like eating and drinking in other months, but many of them are haraam during fasting. The condition for becoming a believer is to surrender to every command of Allah regarding halal and haram. That is every moment of life. ? Heard and accepted? ? There must be an ever-ready consciousness. Due to such a consciousness, a believer does not eat anything even in private. Do not give food or drink even in the face of intense hunger or intense thirst. People can pray, pay to show people, He can even perform Hajj. But can that greed to show people stop you from eating something in secret? The only thing that works in this case is the fear of Allah and taqwa. The person who fasts the entire month of Ramadan and obeys every command of Allah is in fact the winner. This victory is over greed and lust. Eid-ul-Fitr comes with the celebration of victory.

To understand the importance and superiority of Eid-ul-Fitr, one must understand the purpose and purpose of fasting. The main goal of fasting is to create taqwa or fear of Allah in the minds of Muslims. The Holy Qur'an says, "O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you, as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become righteous." This taqwa is essential for receiving mercy, forgiveness and salvation from Allah in the Hereafter. This is the key to entering Paradise. Question, what is the meaning of taqwa? Taqwa is a perpetual sense of accountability to Allah in the mind of the believer which makes him an obedient slave of every command of Allah day and night. As a result, the believer spends every day and every moment in obedience to the commandments of Allah. It is expressed in his words, deeds and behavior. And obedience to any command of Allah is worship. Therefore, the worship of a believer is only prayer and fasting, Hajj-zakat is not limited, it is a constant prayer. The main goal of fasting in Ramadan is to make such taqwa permanent in the life of the believer. Then the faith of the believer becomes visible throughout his religion, conduct, business, politics, culture, warfare and all aspects of life. In this way fasting makes the slavery of Allah a permanent habit in one's life. Then he is the servant of Allah not only in prayer, not only in fasting or Hajj but in all times and in all places. This is the greatest achievement of Mumin's life. He then became a full-time soldier in the army of God Almighty. Mahe Ramadan is therefore the month of the most important training of Islam. In Islam, there is a concluding ceremony at the end of the training with those who are successful in the training session. That is the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr. He is a constant appeal. There is great good news in this holy month of Ramadan for those who attain taqwa. The great God opened the door of mercy, forgiveness and salvation for them. This month has Laylatul Qadr which is better than a thousand months. For those who fast in this holy month, perform Taraaweeh prayers, perform various supererogatory acts of worship, and avoid falsehood, envy, slander, backbiting, and various evil deeds, and seek forgiveness from Allaah on the night of Laylat al-Qadr, this month brings them the greatest success in life. . All the sins of the past life are forgiven with the blessing of worship in this holy month. And great prosperity comes in faith. What could be a greater achievement in the life of a believer? Does such an achievement happen in business profit, professional success, huge salary or any other success in working life? Isn't it right that such success will bring happiness? God willing, May His loyal servants celebrate after this great achievement of life. That is why he has given the provision of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Ramadan is the month of fighting against instinct. Just as the warriors celebrate after the victory of the war, so do the believers celebrate after the victory of the war against the instincts. The festival is organized on Eid-ul-Fitr. However, those who did not fast during this holy month and did not attain taqwa, in fact, failed. In this holy month, they did not take part in the fight against their rebellious instincts. As a result, how will they be victorious? Rather to defeated hunger, sex, obscenity and disobedient instincts. There is nothing happy for such losers on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr. This is the day of mourning for them. They are disobedient servants of God the Almighty. Such disobedience is kufr. Their disobedience is abstracted not only during Ramadan, but also during the other 11 months of the year. This failure of Ramadan brings a sad disaster in their lives. What do they celebrate with such a disaster? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said for them,

Where joy is universal

Islam is the religion of welfare. Welfare is sought by the individual as well as the community. We want the welfare of rich and poor people of all walks of life. Therefore, in the midst of the festival, there is no room for the believers to deviate from the welfare consciousness. On this day, the affluent people of the society will rejoice and the needy people will see that joy in silence. There is no provision in Islam. The joy of Eid is universal here. On this happy day, welfare arrangements have been made for the needy and sad people of the society. Every well-to-do Muslim has to hand over the money of Fitra before joining the Eid Jamaat so that the orphans and destitute people can also join in the joy of Eid. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: The fast of a person who attends the Eid prayer without fitra floats in the air under the Throne of Allaah. Therefore, the condition for accepting the fast is to pay Fitra per head of each member of the family before attending the Eid prayers. This is the right of the poor, Not the gift or grace of the rich. It is the responsibility of every well-to-do person to find the needy in the society. This is an additional responsibility on the believer to gain wealth. It is not the rule of Islam for the poor to come and give dharna at his door and beg for Fitra. Such a provision is a great disrespect to the poor. Is Eid happy by increasing the disrespect of the poor? Is social cohesion built? Is peace established? Islam does not create a culture of begging, The culture of giving on average. Islam therefore tells the rich to run to the door of the poor. Caliph Hazrat Umar (R) therefore carried a sack of flour on his shoulder and delivered it to the house of the hungry people. Wealth gain in this way increases the sense of responsibility in the life of the believer without increasing arrogance. This is how money puts him to the test. Islam wants strong unity like a leaden wall between rich and poor people of all walks of life. Charity and welfare of the poor He works cement to build unity. The miserable poor people then learn to think of the well-to-do people at the heart of the society. In the exploitative capitalist country, the huge divide between the rich and the poor gives rise to political struggles and bloody class wars, but this does not happen in Islamic society. On the contrary, the rich people of the society understand that wealth is a great burden on them
