There is a number of great lead generation tools you can use, but I would suggest starting with the basics - working with existing traffic on your website first. Here are a few tools I would recommend having on your site that can help you step up your lead generation game:

→ Exit intent popups. Yes, I know what you are thinking, exit intent popups are annoying and their ruin user experience. But why do you think so many websites are still using them? Because they work.

You can generate leads by inviting visitors to stay in touch by subscribing to your newsletter (example below).

When it comes to successful exit intent campaigns, you need to remember one simple yet important thing: it's all about personalization.

Don't show the same overlay to all incoming visitors. Create several campaigns and show them to targeted audiences using URL targeting. Also, think about how often you want your campaigns to be shown: once a day or maybe only once a week.

→ Promo bars. If you find exit intent too intrusive, consider using promo bars. Promo bars stick to the top or the bottom of your website and remain visible throughout entire session (unless visitor closes it). If designed well, promo bar can seamlessly blend into the overall design of your website, and that means it won't bother the visitor.

You can use both, exit intent and promo bars, to collect email in exchange of free resources you are providing. You can also use them to collect newsletter subscription.

Lead generation can be tricky and even frustrating at times but you simply need to find an approach works for your business the best. If you found one - congrats, if not - just keep trying different things.

Hope it was helpful.
