Your dream company has reviewed your CareerUp profile and you have made it to the second round of the review process. It's time to seal the deal and nail the interview! The interview will be an excellent opportunity for you to create a great impression and learn more about the position, and with a few tried and tested techniques you will sail right on through to your dream internship abroad.

Take note that CareerUp interviews typically take place over Skype, WeChat, or occasionally over the phone. It is really important that you understand how to use the platform before your next interview. We recommend practicing a call with a family member or friend first to ensure that you can connect easily.

Video interviews are done in the comfort of your own home, however, that doesn't mean you can be wearing your pajamas! You still need to maintain a high level of professionalism, so there are a few tricks to create a really great first impression.



1. Be sure to wear professional attire during the call.
The video should capture you from the chest upwards.



2. Make sure to find a quiet, distraction-free environment to conduct the call.
Feel free to use a small headset with a microphone to ensure the quality of your sound is clear.



3. Find a good sounding space.
When selecting your interview space, clean space that is conducive to good sound quality. eg. carpeted floors and closed windows



4. Make sure the light is right.
It's important to make sure you have good lighting. Test the video quality out before the call to make sure your face is brightly illuminated.
